2nd day in Spain

I think my inner clock has done some resetting.  I finally got up and moving around just after 11am.  My room at the hostel was very comfortable - just the perfect amount of privacy for some recuperation!  I opted for the private bath which is really nice to have while my body is adjusting to the time change.
Yesterday, at the end of my bus ride to the western side of the city, I decided to jump off to take a jaunt through the aquarium.  It's in the port area and close to my hostel.  I enjoyed seeing all the sea life!  The walk-thru tank was the coolest part...

Right now, I am sitting in the Friss Juice Cafe, across from Sagrada Familia.  What a gorgeous building!

From here, I'm going to see the Hospital de Sant Pau and walk through Parc Guell, then finish out the tour of the eastern side of the city.

Barcelona is lovely and kind city.  I look forward to getting a couple more days here after my cruise!

As far as public safety goes, I have only seen / heard the policia run code (with lights and sirens).  But there are ambulancia everywhere - posting, I suppose.  There are polica on the street corners, most of them with a kind face, who seem to be helpful.

Barcelona has a wonderful Transportation system!  You can choose from buses, metro, tram, taxi or public-use bicycles.  Although there are many cars on the roads, the majority of locals use motorcycles.
the artistic flair is everywhere!
Well, I'm off again  =)
*hugs & love*

  1. So glad that you made it there and have gotten your inner clock reset. I think you made an awesome choice leaving the phone behind. I am always amazed, and saddened, at how many people have their faces turned to a small screen instead of enjoying what it around them. You won't regret that!

Have fun, and I can't wait to see more pictures from your adventure.
